You can see a video of our EmbryoScope here. The fertilised egg divides into 2 cells after about 20 seconds and then into 4 cells.
The EmbryoScope is an incubator, in which the eggs are stored during development. Photos of the eggs are taken in the EmbryoScope every 20 minutes as they divide/develop. This makes it possible to assess cell division on film and select the embryos which divide most effectively thereby optimising the chance of a pregnancy.
