At your personal physician
By your personal physician you need to have preformed the following tests and they may be not more than 2 years old:
HIV 1 and 2: Anti-HIV-1,2
Hepatitis B: HBsAg (= Hepatitis B-virus-surface-antigen) and Anti-HBc (= Hepatitis B-core-antistof)
Hepatitis C: Anti-HCV-Ab
Chlamydia
You cannot be inseminated before we have received written confirmation that your tests are negative from your physician or an authorised lab. Please call or write an email to be sure that all your results are accepted.
Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to treat you if you are infected with Hepatitis C or HIV.
You also need to find out whether you have had German measles (rubella).
To be sure a blood test can verify whether you have formed rubella-antibodies.
If not, it is worth considering vaccination prior to pregnancy.
This is, however, not a requirement.
At the gynaecologist?
If you have previously had an infection in the uterus or fallopian tubes, have had Chlamydia or Gonorrhoea; scar tissue may have formed in you fallopian tubes, which prevents both eggs and sperm from passing.
Unfortunately, you may have had a “mute infection” without symptoms that you do not necessarily feel.
Therefore, we recommend that you be examined by a gynaecologist prior to insemination for the purpose of having evaluated your chances of pregnancy.
