Hormone stimulation by your own gynaecologist

If your own gynaecologist prescribes your hormone treatment, you must be aware of the following:

  • When hormone treatment begins, your gynaecologist must carry out an ultrasound scan on Day 2-3 of your cycle. You have to have another scan on Day 8-10 of your cycle.
  • On Day 8-10 of your cycle, your gynaecologist can see how many follicles are ripe, how big they are and how thick your endometrium is. Your gynaecologist can use this scan to determine the ideal time for the ovulation injection. If you’ve received hormone stimulation, you MUST have an ultrasound scan before we can offer insemination.
  • An ovulation injection should be administered around 36 hours before insemination. The doctor prescribing the ovulation injection is responsible for administering it at the right time and for the correct indication.

The doctor prescribing the hormone treatment is responsible for administering it at the right time and for the correct indication. StorkKlinik cannot be held responsible for treatment provided by your own gynaecologist.

If your gynaecologist has any questions, he/she is welcome to contact StorkKlinik and speak with one of our fertility doctors.
