Nina Stork

Nina Stork

I was trained as a midwife in 1989 and have worked at small birthing clinics and larger specialist maternity wards in Denmark and Greenland.
For a number of years I worked as a home-birth midwife, first 3 years with "De Frie Jordemødre" (the free midwifes): Susanne Houd and Susanne Winding, later 4 years as independent home-birth midwife.

When I in 1997 due to regulation had to give up on my own insemination and IVF attempts at a private medical clinic it was not possible for me to continue as a midwife.
Instead I took parts of the education as potter and at the same time the diploma degree in visual arts from Danmarks Lærerhøjskole.

Luckily, my partner Inger Stork managed to become pregnant. Together, we have a son Oskar Oliver, born in 1999 by Inger.
